Leaning into Winter and Wellness

Contrary to the bustle of the holidays, the overall season of winter is a time of reflection. It’s the season to take stock of both the challenges and the blessings of the past twelve months. A time to explore all we’ve learned this past year about how to care for ourselves, and take from that the most valuable lessons about what’s working for us and what isn’t.

I find this process of reflection and preparation to be like building a nest. Just as a bird collects only the most useful twigs and bits to build a home, so too can we build a haven around our lives that nurtures us well. Imagine building a nest of self care over the winter that will carry you through the year ahead. Fill it with love and life and vibrant color. Build it with all the best things to support your well being. Return back to it anytime you need to as a sanctuary in which to rest.

If you’d like a guided journey in nest-building this winter, I’ve created a printable workbook called Build your Nest. You’ll also get access to my monthly Letters from the Studio, where I share more about creative wellness. I think it’s a beautiful thing when we begin the new year with a lot of nurturing. My hope is that this guide can serve as your permission slip to do just that.

Wishing you a safe holiday season and some inspired nest-building this winter!
