Enormous Tiny Art Show

I’m thrilled to return for another around of the Enormous Tiny Art Show with Nahcotta Gallery! This wonderfully fun exhibit is filled with art of all kinds that is… of course, tiny. The works are available both in-person and online, and each piece is no bigger than 10x10 inches. That’s a lot of creative energy in a small package!

The pieces I’ve created for ETA37 are a mixture of encaustic and layers of digital prints. The rich textures underneath white wax layers showcase glimpses of cyanotypes made with soap bubbles and plants, as well as hints of floral eco-prints. By pushing the colors in the computer, I stretch each print into a new and colorful world. Once this part is done, I print each one, mount them on wood panels, and begin the process of adding richly textured layers of encaustic wax.

I don’t know about all of you, but I am so ready for spring to arrive here in Ohio - and these pieces really reflect that. I’m ready for blooms and warm sunshine and everything sprouting anew. These little springtime beauties can be viewed over at my collection page with Nahcotta here if you’d like to collect one!

I have a bunch of other shows lined up for this year with Lark & Key Gallery, and will soon be sharing more on the next one - which focuses more on all things botanical! I hope you enjoy these springtime pieces as much as I enjoyed making them!
